A wide range of sites are suitable for an BEE Energy Purchase Agreement. The model is driven by heat demand rather than a specific building type.
Any organisation with consistent hot water or space-heating requirements can be a strong candidate, particularly where there is available roof space (or suitable car parks for car-ports) and a desire to reduce exposure to volatile energy prices and reduce running costs.
Leisure facilities, hotels, care environments, education estates, and industrial process users often perform well, but suitability is determined by the operating profile, load consistency, and practical integration with existing plant.
Each project is assessed on its energy use pattern then modelled to confirm expected outputs and the best fit agreement format. The outcome is a deliverable plan with clear assumptions, a defined scope, and an agreement designed around measurable heat delivery.
Once a site is identified as suitable, BEE completes a full feasibility assessment to size the hybrid solar PV/T system and confirm the most appropriate contract structure — Heat Purchase Agreement (HPA), Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), or a blended approach.
We then deliver a clear proposal showing expected heat delivery, on-site electrical utilisation, projected carbon savings, and the agreed unit rates.
After installation, customers can either purchase the system outright, buy the output via an HPA/PPA contract, or fund ownership through asset finance.
Alternatively, the customer can purchase the rights of ownership under the agreement at an agreed point, taking over the asset and continuing to benefit from metered heat and/or power.
In all cases, performance is tracked through the BEE portal to provide transparent reporting, trend data and verified outputs — keeping risk low and savings measurable.
